On tap at brewery:
Medium hazed dull orange amber. Moderate lacing from a decent head.
A candied orange main aroma profile. This is backed by some pith and a hint of pine, but they don’t really bust through the orange rind and sweet, overripe melon.
An odd mix of bite that seems like the beer may be highly carbonated, but that falls off to give a medium bodied, slightly sticky feel.
Taste begins with the orange and semi-sweet malt. The spice bite is followed by the pith/pine noticed in the nose. This does an equally good job not wresting control from the orange at first. By the end of the glass, a sweet ruby grapefruit impression has come on. Little lingering tartness has a ripe mango aspect to it.
This one grew on me even though it leaned sweet the whole way. I’d move on to a different beer after this one.

L: Poured from a crowler to a snifter glass. Had an orange-amber color and a slightly hazy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Above average lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of dank hops, malt, citrus fruit, and tropical fruit.
T: Tasted of a small amount of malt (mostly in the finish), a good shot of citrus fruit (orange, maybe a little grapefruit), a fair amount of dank hops (not overdone, though), and some tropical fruit (mango). A focused and easy to drink flavor. It's not as dank as I expected, but it still has that quality. It has a soft, sweet, easygoing character.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a sharp finish. Light- to medium-bodied.
O: This is a solidly made, likable DIPA. Worth a look.
