If you’re a fan of the answer, you know how thick their stouts are. This one isn’t nearly as thick, which I prefer because it holds a subtle bourbon heat while the prevailing flavor is coconut, of the delicious variety.

L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a taster. Had a jet black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored head that lasted an average amount of time. Solid lacing.
S: A very enticing aroma of coconuts, bourbon, chocolate, apples, malt, and coffee.
T: Tasted of a bit of apple brandy (a subtle presence), lots of chocolate (quite sweet), a tinge of coffee (somewhat fleeting), a good shot of bourbon (less than expected, but still present), and a good amount of malt (present throughout). A complex, sweet, and likable flavor. Delicious.
F: A fair amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Full-bodied.
O: A fantastically well-made stout. Drinkable.
