L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a taster. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a thin, creamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Not a whole lot of lacing.
S: A very enticing aroma chocolate, nuts, malt, bourbon, apples, coconut and coffee.
T: Tasted of a bit of malt (present, but mild compared to the other ingredients), lots of chocolate (always a good thing), a good amount of bourbon (and its barrel), some coconut, a tinge of coffee (just enough), and a hint of apple brandy. A complex, robust, and powerful flavor. Quite delicious.
F: A below average amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Full-bodied.
O: An extremely well made and enjoyable stout. Drinkable.
