L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a taster. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored, somewhat long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of chocolate, malt, bourbon, wood, and coconut.
T: Tasted of a good amount of malt (present throughout, though subtle), a tinge of coconut (just enough to make things interesting), a good shot of chocolate (a big factor here), and some bourbon (and its accompanying barrel). A surprisingly subtle and well-balanced flavor. It's not as bracing as some BBA stouts, but still has a lot of character. Tasty.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A well made and enjoyable stout.
