L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a taster. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.
S: A solid aroma of chocolate, malt, coffee, caramel, and nuts.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of coffee (just enough), a hint of caramel (kind of sweet), a nutty quality (almonds, to be specific), a good shot of chocolate (a major ingredient), and a little malt (present throughout). A well-balanced, smooth, and focused flavor. It never lets any of the ingredients take over, rather they work well in concert.
F: A so-so amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A well made stout. Worth a try.
