This imperial stout features maple syrup, New Guinea vanilla beans, cacao nibs, a touch of cinnamon, RND locally roasted coffee and shimmering edible gold glitter.

Brewed in collaboration with Weathered Souls Brewing, Uncap Everything, The Brew Brotha, Black Ninja Design and I AM CM Bryant.

pours inky and oily jet black with a creamy, mocha head that dissipates into a collar around the glass plus a few straggling swirls in the center. oh, yeah, and there’s gold glitters. i don’t know what kind of gimmick that is (if any) but bonus points for the look there as it almost fooled my buddy who i split this with into thinking it was a barleywine. nose is straight breakfast. coffee and maple up front with vanilla and chocolate in the not-so-distant background. the cinnamon is very subtle, which i dig. taste sees the vanilla playing a more prominent role, although it’s balanced nicely between that, the coffee and the maple. the base stout’s rich chocolate and slight roast along with a subdued cinnamon flavor round everything out. full bodied with a maple syrup slickness, this is a tasty imperial breakfast stout.
