14 oz glass served with a nice, fluffy off-white head that is always appreciated at a brewpub...and not in a frozen glass to boot, yehaw! (upon request, of course). Very dark brown color with lots of haze.
Nose is candy sweet malts and light caramel. Mild floral hops and a nice grainy presence that makes this a pretty decent sniffer.
Multitudes of malty flavors; burnt toffee, bitter chocolate and biscuit. Hopping is light, but finishes pretty clean and earthy bitter. Tastes a little under attenuated, but the sweetness is not overly distracting. Lacks creaminess and is not really all that smooth. Fruitiness comes out as it warms, like tropical fruit cocktail juice. An ok brown ale, ultimately a pretty forgettable brewski.

Brown
A-very dark brown with a small head that remains consistent and provides a nice lace
S-not much going on here in terms of aroma.
T-this runs the gamut from bitter roasted malt to a toffee like sweetness followed up by a nice low level of british hop bitterness
M_thinner than the Alt but consistent for the style.
D-adecent English Brown. Very drinkable but not on par with the British greats.
