14 oz shaker pint brought to me a dark brown color that is pretty opaque but not quite black. Light, surprisingly white creamy head.
Nose is lightly fruity with a light bit of chocolate. Little bit of black licorice, low on the roast and is low on hop aroma.
Taste has some fruit and licorice as well, with some roastiness coming forth as it warms. Surprisingly light bodied, still smooth but does not have enough heft for an oatmeal stout. Not really all that sweet either, which is a bummer. Strawberry and watermelon fruit should not be here and almost has a nitro-pour feel to it. Some cardboard graininess adds to the issues this beer is having. Goes down easy enough, but not really a satisfying Oaty Stout for me.
