No idea if this beer is retired or not. The wife went to Vancouver for training and brought me that. Which seemed to have been brewed in Feb 17.

Dark golden copper hue witg mid head retention but a very foamy and sticky leftover.

Smell is fruity but dry with rye. Tge rye and the hops seem to be fighting eaxhothers side to side

Taste is crisp gratefruit lemon with the Rye coming in the back mouth. mid level hoppiness with a hint of caramel.

I usially dislike beer with Rye but this one does not bother me as the previous.

A fantastic, dark copper-hued hybrid IPA from Fernie, combining an English malt character with a spicy, earthy hop profile. A bit muted aromatically, the peppercorns and sweet caramel on the palate do wonders. Superbly balanced, and even better than the 2014 release.

C'mon, feel the noise! Drink this with the boys! You'll get wild, wild, wild... This is a really interesting IPA that has a distinct appeal. If you rocked out to 80's metal and got wasted on Canadian Club, this beer has some nostalgic value. Full flavour, with notes of pepper, caramel and spice. Bitter, but pleasant hop finish. This is a wonderful beer from FBC, which is quickly becoming one of my "go to" breweries. Rock on, motherf&^%$s!

A: amber honey; translucent
S: nice fresh light pine, citrus, mandarin, some malt
T: rich and round. Well balanced. A little high on the bitterness at the end (making it better with food than by itself) Hops and malt are really well integrated.
M: full bodied
O: I like this beer. A good all-round IPA.

Bomber poured into a shaker pint glass. Pours a ruddy orange-amber color like moderately strong tea with a rich creamy beige head and a very citrus-forward aroma, mostly orange marmalade with a dry peppery spice and some floral herbal tea. Taste is also a nice blend of toffee and donut-like malts, citrus rind and flesh, dried fruit, black tea, and an interesting whiff of root cellar funk. Yellow and pink grapefruit, sultana raisin, sour flat cola, and faint wintergreen combine to yield a curious and unique flavor profile and the peppercorns on the nose become amplified as one proceeds through a pint. Moderate to thick body with lowish carbonation and a rather spicy, dry, crisp finish that grades into medicinal. Very nice showcase for pungent hops but also features an equally assertive rye spice. Nice work from Fernie Brewing Co. The funk is a tad surprising and challenging to identify but adds an extra nuance. Although an IPA, I'd recommend this brew to those interested in getting a real classic taste of what rye can be like in brewing.
