355ml can poured into tulip.
Pours a hazy medium amber with one fat finger of beige head that leaves shockwaves of lace as it recedes.
Smells of muddled citrus zest, sticky caramel malt, nectarine, lemongrass and some perfumed floral hops.
Tastes of bready caramel malt, orange and grapefruit juice, mild lemon peel, more lemongrass herb and more flowery hops.
Feels soft and smooth. Medium bodied with frothy carbonation. Finishes off-dry.
Verdict: Highly recommended. The lemongrass turned out to be a nice addition.

650 ml bottle dated 09.2017 into pint glass. Pours a hazy golden amber color with a nice of white head and great lacing. Initial impression is pineapple, tropical fruits, maybe some peach, and pine resin, nicely balanced by biscuity malts. Mouthfeel is kind of chewy, and carbonation is perfect for the style. Alcohol is well hidden. Finish is initially slightly bitter, but morphs into a more mellow sweetness. Pretty good IPA, bordering on DIPA territory.

No date, but it seems fresh.
A: Clear yellow liquid with a massive white head.
S: Grapefruit pith.
T: Bitter orange peel, red licorice, black licorice, earth.
M: Medium viscosity and carbonation.
O: Quite a bitter IPA but a good one. The red licorice flavours stand out. I think the lemongrass is providing more aromatics than anything.
To be honest, I think El Dorado does best in a darker beer, like Stone 18th Anniversary. Maybe in a pale ale it is best in a supporting role paired with other hops.

Oh my. FBC and lemongrass meet a Tragically Hip reference ("He's a man sized El Dorado/Hooved a doo/And who could blame him/Who could blame him"). But I digress. Pours a pale astraw colour capped by a lingering foamy head. The smell of doughy malt, peach, lemongrass and leaf let you know you are entering unique territory, indeed! The flavour is subtle IPA, with the lemongrass providing an Asian kerpow that make this one of the most unique beers I've encountered in recent memory.

650ml bottle, the most recent offering in Fernie's Bucket List IPA series, made with 'The Eldorado' hops, and lemongrass.
This beer pours a sort of hazy, medium golden amber colour, with three fingers of puffy, rocky, and sticky eggshell white head, which leaves some stellar bonsai-tree reminiscent webbed lace around the glass as it slowly sinks away.
It smells of grainy and doughy caramel malt, strong, estery florals, edgy lemongrass, juicy stone fruit, a touch of hard water flintiness, and more leafy and earthy hop bitterness. The taste is more rather doughy caramel malt, prominent mixed citrus fleshy notes (inclusive of the lemongrass), further tropical fruitiness, a minor pithy chalk character, and some lesser leafy, grassy, and floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is quite laid-back in its welcoming frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and actually quite smooth, this particular hop not of the spoilsport type, it would seem, even allowing for a gentle emerging creaminess. It finishes on the sweet side, with the robust fruitiness and back-burner malt lingering on into that good night.
Overall, a very enjoyable and drinkable single-hop IPA, the (sorry, 'The') El Dorado hop very capable of carrying off the whole bittering affair, it would seem. Tasty, and a nice Spring-friendly IPA, especially with the subtle lemongrass spiciness.
