Appearance - Pours a copper hue with two fingers of bubbly white head.
Smell - leafy, earthy, and hint of citrus hops, bready malts, caramel, stone fruits, and earthy yeast.
Taste - bold leafy, earthy, and hint of citrus hops upfront. The bready malts and caramel follow suit. The hint of stone fruits and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the malts and caramel lingering.
Overall - An IPA that from description on the can should resemble a New England IPA but is more suited to the American IPA category. I wish the citrus hops and stone fruits made more of a presence to resemble this brew to what the can indicates. Still, a respectable brew but has a misguided direction.
