Appearance: Pours a somewhat hazy goldenstraw with a two finger head; good persistance and a few streaks and squiggles of lacing
Smell: Very pithy, with kumquat, lime mixing with pineapple and berry tones; all softened by a floral element
Taste: A mix of juicy and pithy tones, up front, with the pineapple and berry bringing the juice and kumquat and lime bringing the pith; moderate to high bitterness, through the middle with some of the juice lingering in the aftertaste
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; somewhat creamy
Overall: Another good NE IPA from Pueblo Vida; everything I have had from this brewery has been impressive, particularly their IPAs

So I grabbed this beer from Tavour to check off my first beer from Arizona. However, I had a beer from Wren House last week without realizing they’re also from Arizona. Well, I know nothing about this brewery, but let’s find out if they can brew a good NEIPA
Pours a cloudy yellow gold with 3 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose is pretty balanced here, and the Sabro hops aren’t super aggressive as they can sometimes be. I’m picking up on aromas of orange juice, bready malt, earthy hops, juicy strawberry, cedar, light coconut, and grass
It leans into the bitterness a bit more in taste but this does not ruin it. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting orange zest, red grapefruit, bready malt, woody hops, pine, light coconut, and papaya. The swallow brings notes of bready malt, orange juice, red grapefruit, earthy hops, cedar, mango skin, and light papaya
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes mostly dry with a firm bitterness
This one is damn solid. I’m glad it didn’t end up being some throwaway beer that I got just to check off some uncommon beer state in my list, especially since I ended up with another good one last week
