The first of our "Serious Series" Combustible Pineapple is a double dry hopped, hazy Milkshake New England Style IPA brewed with three pounds per barrel of Amarillo, Citra, Idaho 7, Enigma, and about a pound and a half of pineapple per gallon. Drink cold for a burst of citrus and pineapple on the nose from the double dry hop and massive amounts of pineapple. Huge notes of fresh pineapple (not ripe pineapple) with a backing of the vanilla and lactose to create a creamy, yet citrus and pineapple forward IPA. Good bitterness backing to create a balanced IPA.

Pours an opaque orange with a bright hue. Head is a finger of white foam. Aroma is lactose followed quickly by tropical fruits. After the oozy ripe tropical fruits hits grassy, and earthy hops. Lactose hits hard. Flavor profile is pineapple and lactose throughout. Lactose really adds a cloying level of sweetness, with tropical fruits adding a little depth. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a hearty, creamy texture. Overall, the lactose is strong here, with loads of pineapple for sweetness and some bitterness.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 16oz can.

Tall can …telling me to “drink fresh”, but offering no canning date or other freshness info…puzzling…

Pours all hazed/juiced and milk shaked up…leaves a nice looking and lasting cap and adequate lacing on the glass.

Fresh and fruity pineapple sniff

Enjoyable brew loaded with the advertised pineapple, vanilla nd yes thickening lactose…if you like a tasty fruited up milkshake style IPA this one will do the trick…worthy brew…go get some…

16 fl oz pull-tab can ran me $3.75 USD plus tax at Martin's Wine Cellar, New Orleans, LA. No canned on date. Label is blue and orange with a pineapple bisected by what appears to be a nuclear bomb fallout cloud.

"Milkshake IPA with Pineapple, Vanilla and Lactose." 7.5% ABV. 45 IBUs. "Ale with natural flavors."

Served cold into a stemless wine glass.

Pineapple is present but doesn't feel boozy. Hop profile is a bit underwhelming and gets drowned out by the unnecessary vanilla and lactose sweetness. Vanilla is more vanillin than authentic Madagascar vanilla bean.

Hop profile is subpar.

Like it don't love it, but it's drinkable.

Poured into a snifter. A very hazy/turbid yellow color with a modest white head. This was was on the warm side, and the pineapple aroma was quite pronounced. Like a pineapple milkshake with sweet vanilla notes. The taste was huge pineapple, balanced with some dank resiny notes. The lactose was there but more restrained. Full bodied and thick, slightly sweet. Easy drinking. Nice.

Pours a super hazy amber orange with an inch of white head that disappeared pretty quickly.
Smells of citrus and pineapple, albeit a bit muted.
Luckily the taste is more pronounced. Pineapple up front, grapefruit and a little dank on the finish.
On the heavier side of medium bodied.
Overall a solid beer, I'd drink it again.
