A collaboration between Pontoon Brewing, Variant Brewing, Gate City Brewing and Sprayberry Bottle Shop
500mL bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). I believe 13.99. Released November 2018. Served in a Variant teku. Enjoyed 12/6/18.
Pours black with a modest cap of loose tan head. The froth recedes quickly, leaving no retention behind aside from the thin surface haze revived by a quick swirl of the glass.
Smells of vanilla, coconut, chocolate, brown sugar and faint bourbon. Marvelous.
Flavors are rich. Chocolate, vanilla, a slightly astringent roast character, toasted coconut, a cinnamon-like spice, wet wood, cooked caramel and very faint bourbon.
The body is a bit thinner than I tend to expect or prefer for the style. Medium light feel with moderately low carbonation. Bittersweet finish with notes of vanilla, cinnamon and burnt brownie.
An interesting combination of collaborators came together here- three breweries and ...my favorite local bottle shop! The Wolf Pack is definitely a tasty brew (doing much better than most in allowing the coconut to shine) but my personal favorite aspect is seeing my “beer guy” on the bottle artwork.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
