Bursting with flavor, the caramel bomb packed in this cookie in a can gives off notes of toffee and buttery caramel alongside the wave of toasted coconut, lactose and chocolate. This Sweet Stout will make you feel like you're eating a real Samoa.

Coconut Cookie Revolution (new name) has a thin, beige head and an essentially-black appearance. The aroma is of dark bread crust, raisin, chocolate, and coconut. It has a similar flavor, with lots of sweetness and low bitterness. Coconut Cookie Revolution has a high-medium body and a mostly-dry finish.

On tap
Pours black in color with a one finger creamy khaki head. Smells of chocolate, caramel, toasted coconut and coffee. Tastes like a German chocolate cake; chocolate, caramel, vanilla, toasted coconut. The finish gives a hint of coffee. Medium body with moderate carbonation, creamy mouthfeel and finish

I got the coconut of rip from this one and a chocolate finish. It had a little nuttiness in the after taste.

I've had other "Samoa" beers, and this one is pretty good. I get a lot of toasted coconut and nutty flavors - yum! But not too much caramel or chocolate sweetness, like you may associate with the cookie. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

16 ounce can - Sprayberry Bottle Shop in Marietta, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a very dark, amber-brown body with a smallish, though lasting, light beige head.
Smell: Fairly sweet-smelling nose of store-bought caramel cubes, toasted coconut, chocolate extract and a bit of dark fruitiness with a splash of cold milk.
Taste: Presents a sweetish chocolate taste with some milky overtones, lightly toasted coconut shavings. A toasty quality with a subtler caramel quality. A little touch of raisin, prune. No real appreciable hop character or bitterness. Finishes out fairly smooth but has that lingering, unpleasant aftertaste accruing from all the various adjuncts within.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Fairly smooth mouthfeel.
Overall: Well, the label was real cute.

16oz can from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 4.49. No canning date. Served in a Barrel and Barley teku. Enjoyed 3/8/19.
Pours a deep, dark chocolate brown with a big, dense cap of pale tan head. The foam crackles away to a thin veneer across the surface, a full crown and some streaks of lace.
Aromas of soft milk chocolate, faint toasted coconut and a little vanilla-infused caramel.
Flavors of roasted malt, caramel, cocoa and mild toasted coconut.
Smooth medium feel with perky carbonation. The finish holds roasty notes of desweetened Mounds.
Pontoon is having some fun going into Girl Scout cookie season. Honorary Girl Scout is a nice coconut milk porter even though it doesn’t quite deliver all the flavors of Samoas.
