Pours a clear medium yellow with overly frothy head.
Smell is light sweet tropical fruit.
Taste is a good blend of malt and hop.
The floral notes are subdued and there's a hint of spice.

Appearance: Brilliant, clear gold. Big white fluffy head with good retention. Fast rising bubbles.
Aroma: Floral and spicy
Flavor & Aftertaste: Restrained bitterness, herbal and spicy flavors, low on malt sweetness
Mouth-feel: Medium body, dry with high palate carbonation. Medium length finish with little bitterness.
Overall: A surprisingly well executed German style Pilsner for a brewery not really know for Lager beers at all. Hits the check boxes thoroughly. Clear gold appearance. Develops a nice head with a proper pouring technique that lingers a bit. You get a little more of a floral note with the Mt. Hood hops than most German style Pilsners. Plenty of herbal and spicy notes. Well balanced between sweetness and bitterness. Lager fans who visit Pontoon Brewing now have a solid German style Pilsner to drink.
