The time has come to test thy courage...This big, malt-forward golden strong ale beams bright in color like the sacred triforce artifact and is full of banana and clove esters fromthe Belgian yeast. The timeless style of a golden strong ale is blended with a new age feel with the addition of rum soaked bananas, cinnamon, Madagascar vanilla, and banana puree to give a banana foster flavor! We’ve been waiting for you, Hero of Beer!

Well... it is really well done. I like everything about this except it tastes like laffy taffy banana... and a nice strong ale I guess... I mean it is disgusting but also really not bad. Maybe it is the 9% talking... it sort of makes me not want to drink it because of the banana but once I get over the banana, it tastes pretty good.

Look: Poured a hazy amber/orange with a tall white head that melted too . . . well, nothing.
Smell and Taste: More like a Hefeweizen than a strong ale. Banana is the pervasive note.
Feel: Somewhat crisp and refreshing.
Overall: I took a chance with this one. Glad I tried it but not my cup of tea.

Damn! This is one good beer...
Full disclosure: I am very partial to bananas. I love them, actually. So when I saw this I naturally gravitated towards it. Even so, I still treated it critically to be fair, and well, I found it to be damn good. Coloration that’s dark yellow, taste that hints of sweet obit has a balancing tartness to it, and medium mouthfeel rounds it all out. Not a dessert beer, but still good as an after dinner chaser.

Poured from a pint can into a pint can. Shallow white head dissipates quickly, not much lacing. Body of the beer is deep yellow. Sweet aroma of bananas and vanilla are present. The taste has a strong banana flavor, with a bit of vanilla and cinnamon rolled in, before the hops kick in. Seems fairly natural, not artificial like some of these fruit beers. A strong ale, with a 9% abv, but nice mouthfeel at the conclusion. Enjoyable

Poured a golden orange body with decent head and minimal lace. Banana rum and clove aroma with hint of booze and vanilla. Medium to heavy body, seems a little thick, well-hidden booze, a banana and vanilla taste and finished full and sweet.

A Tavour treat. Pours space gold color with a foamy white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is definitely banana. Tastes like banana bread; bananas and spices. Slightly bitter at the start but mellows out quickly.
