Pours deep dark coffee with this lacing khaki crown that recedes to the sides of tulip glass on draught at Ambitious Ales in Long Beach. Tasty malty notes of coffee, Ancho & Guajlllo chilies, and vanilla beans. Bitter punch, not sweet but sure sexy. Great American Imperial Stout micro brew at 10% ABV.

I'm always surprised when a beer that has been made for 8 years has ZERO reviews after all this time. Barely even any ratings! Why? This edition (no idea as there is no date info on the pint can anywhere) is 10% ABV.
Pour this into a snifter glass and you get old motor oil darkness with a medium brown finger of foam that leaves some excellent lacing. Not a whole lot of aroma (maybe if it warms up more I'll get something).
This is no dessert stout - nice bitterness with some dark roast coffee and dark chocolate. The feel is great as well.
I'm really liking this one, the alcohol is hidden (so beware and don't drink three of these unless you're trying for a 4 hour nap.) I would definitely get this again, let's go people try it out and rate/review this nice imperial stout!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
