Thousands of miles away from Bohemia in the middle of a desrt, comes a good example of the style. I like Pilsners work with a lot of spicy foods, and considering the menu of the High Desert Brewpub, they've done their patrons a favor with a fine pilsner. Golden yellow in the glass, with a white head and some lacing on the glass. Fairly straightforward, cracker like malt well balanced with a crisp, grassy hops. Maybe a little light in the aroma department, but grassy hops apparent on the nose. Right level of carbonation, and very smooth, no bitterness. A good pilsner or lager is way underrated in my opinion, and this is a good pilsner.
