Found in a Vienna supermarket, the standard brown half liter bottle sports a gold, blue and white label with a crown above the name. No helpful ingredient information. Best before August 2007, I opened it on 4/29/07.
Pours a clear solid gold under a 1/2 finger white head that fades quite quickly to thin film and a small collar. No lace. The nose is full of malt, but there is a touch of peppermint here that is a bit off-putting. The mouth is quite heavy, with medium carbonation. There's some malt taste here, but the hops bitter is strong from the start. Spicey and rather smooth, it morphs into a more espresso taste later. Very nice bitter aftertaste, the alcohol is also noticeable.
