Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a soft burnt orange to copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a good pace. Sliding stringy lace. The aroma had a some earthy malt playing with some basement/earthy/grassy hops. Then a slight floral/herbal underscore with a touch of semi-sweet breadiness. The flavor brings all of the previously mentioned aromas together in a good way, definitely a slight good buttery backbone, but not like diacetyl. Nice smooth malty to hoppy aftertaste flowing into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt appropriate. Light smooth features rolling along my tongue. Overall, we’re starting off on the right foot 1940’s as this is a pretty nice English pale ale or an English styled IPA.

The aroma offers Strawberry candy, familiar with homebrews.
The flavor is quite malt forward, onto an astringent bitterness. It carries throughout the beer and lingers, leaving earthy and a tongue scrapping aftertaste.
