Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a mild copper color with a slight transparency about it. Sustaining little white head. Light lace. The aroma had a soft sweet to semi-spicy rye graininess up front. Pillowy floral qualities come out with a semi-sweet soft malt. The flavor blends the sweet to the spice somewhat nicely. Floral bittering hops make a decent effort and then a fair maltiness comes in and around to balance pretty nice. Tickling little bit of a spice in the aftertaste. No finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Spicy harshness becomes fairly tame thus makes for a good session especially with a contained ABV. Overall, I think 1940’s did what they wanted to with this one. I’d have again.
