A very smooth, delicious black IPA. Just the right amount of roast character for my tastes (very light amount of roasted malt bitterness). Hops are bit subtle but present. This is very drinkable.

Let me tell you why this beer is on point. Most black IPA's get lost in the fight between roasty and hoppy. This beer is balanced. The roast is mild and the hop profile is spot on. This is not the most bold Black IPA in the world but its the most balanced I've ever had.

First beer I have had from these guys although I had been there prior to their first tapping for dinner. This beer in particular is very tasty as it is extremely smooth and has a very clean finish, which is unheard of in an Arizona beer. The beer has a nice dark coloration, a subtle aroma of hops, possibly barley and had little to no carbonation or lace. Poured beautifully into my BRI glasses I was gifted and I have a new favorite beer maker in Arizona. I cannot wait to taste more from these guys and if this is any indication of how high their ceiling will become, look out for this to be the best brewery in Arizona.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
