Picked up a 32 oz crowler from the brewpub 4-27-19 for $10. Consumed on 4-28-19.
Beer poured a crimson red with a nice white head with the initial pour.
Nose is fresh citrus, very nice.
Taste is a large but lighter malt base primarily crystal and caramel malts which integrates nicely with the grapefruit hops. Simcoe lends a nice piney bite in the finish with a bitterness of 6/10.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and kind of refreshing. Seems to be lacking some carbonation.
Overall a tasty beer; i enjoy a nice double red every so often!

Great red ale! One of the best red ales I've tasted.

Brewed as a mistake of War Paint where they accidentally let it ferment too long, but then it tasted so good at the lower final gravity, higher alcohol and dryness that they dry hopped and made it a recurring beer. Great mistake because this tastes incredible. Best red ale I've had.
