Picked up a 16 oz draft from the Craft Beer Hop Stop 1-22-20 for $3.50. Consumed on 1-22-20.
Beer poured a deep golden with a near perfect white head that is leaving lacing behind.
Nose has hints of grapefruit and is very bready.
Taste is light grapefruit, white bread, over a huge malt base that has a warming alcohol presence. Finishes with a light pine bitterness; 5/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is thick and neither really smooth nor refreshing.
Overall not a bad beer but likely will not have again. This reminds me of the old school DIPA's that Port made back in the day where the beers came across hot. I do like BRI and would recommend most of their beers.

On-tap at Queens in Mesa, AZ - Served in a pint glass:
Pours slightly hazed golden with a creamy, frothy white head. A sheet of lacing sticks down the glass.
The smell is of pine and citrus with a leafy spicing.
The taste is of pine and citrus. Caramel, some water. Something in it reminds me of a raw-ish homebrewed beer - but a good one. Abv well-covered. Lingering hop/spice in the finish.
It is pretty smooth despite the sharpness. A bit more water than expected.
It's a DIPA with a kick. As far as DIPA's go, it fits the outline overall, but doesn't particularly stand out. It lacks something. Still, it easy to drink for the style, and has enough going on to make it enjoyable.
