La Bête expresses the essence of “Vive la France,” not as a service to ideology or dogma, but as the manifestation of a pure, untamed, and liberating beast.
This pint shimmers in copper and, not only leaves a genuine scent of caramel lingering in one’s nostrils, but also in the footprints of the hops, as pure flavor stalks your thirst.

33 cL bottle, poured fridge cold into a snifter, in Toulouse, France. A reasonable white foam cap disintegrates into an attractive copper brew. Spittle little lace.
Nose is caramel with a sweet tinge.
Taste is pleasant - I appreciate that The Beast doesn’t start out with a Belgian Ale foundation, like most everything else in Western Europe. The caramel roast malt gets a chance to shine, and is the star of the beverage. The hops sneak an apple taste in after the sweetness of adjunct glucose. Malty again. Nip of alcohol makes for a dry finish, leaving a little sweetness on the lips.
Medium body, medium leans high in carbonation.
Overall, this 2020 World Beer Awards Silver medalist is a fine drinking straight up malt forward beverage with some teeth.,.
