May 2011: Sample from bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival, as Jade Bière Blonde. I did not take note of the brewery, but thought it was Belgian - but might well be mistaken. The label looked different, though. I hope I’m rating the the right beer. Pale golden colour. This is an ordinary pilsener / pale lager with a little malts in aroma and flavour, and a slight acidity in the finish. Drinkable, but nothing special.

Look : Blonde honey color, head of 3 fingers - receding to a creamy ring within minutes.
Smell : Yeast and fruity esters on the nose, with twists of honey braided pretzel and golden malts.
Taste : A bit washed out and watery, but with a distinct yeasty presence tinged with honey and baked malts at the end. Quite spicy as well, full of coriander and herbs.
Feel : Light and crispy, yet still smooth and sessionable. A slightly papery finish.
Overall : This is a nice beer to have with a light lunch or a cookout. A great alternative to the norm of light drinking beers and I'd have it again.
