Copenhagen 4/9 2020. 75 cl corked bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Matte black bottle with print of a green splotch and IPA in black in silhouette.
Pours clear, golden amber with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor and a more subtle odor of our grains and grass. Caramel, biscuits mingling with citrus and lime. Hints of butter
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger, harsh bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a lighter sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Dry finish.
Somewhat malty India Pale Ale - but not with a harshly bitter charm.

Very piney. Not much backbone. A bit Belgian tasting. Bit of an unpleasant sour finish. Gets largely pretty quickly. Not great.

Steady champagne head over blonde. 3.75
Grain sack with maybe just a touch of flowers. 3.5
Sweet pastry, touch of honey, pear drop and grass. 3.5
Vague tangerine peel linger and floral comeback.
Light, crisp, fizzy with some chalk.3.75
Nice, but how is this an IPA? A Belgian pale in esters, low hops, look and everything else. Might be old, but would being fresh even help? 3.5
