Pours a reddish amber colour with a reasonable sized head. The smell is sort of rye-ish, otherwise biscuity. The taste matches the smell. Some red ales are overly harsh and some red ales are on the weaker side, and this one falls within the latter. Still tasty, but in a mild sort of way
