small building at the back of 1777 American Inn & Bed and Breakfast. In the residential downtown of Ephrata. There is a bar and few tables, and 6 beers on tap. they have wine and a few cocktails from PA producers too, and some food options. Beer I had was decent. owners were friendly, but closed promptly at 9pm on a Saturday night.

Since this place is based on a hiking trail I did a few times and is a bit rough to hike, but a long distance from the trail itself, I decided to try out the spot as the owners hiked the trail.
It is not a large spot with the bar seeming to not hold large crowds. When I was there on a Sunday it was not crowded which was nice. The interior is nice with wood and the decor amiable. There appears to be an outdoor spot next to a parking lot to drink also.
Now as for the beer. I tried 2 pints. The 42 miler DIPA which was a decent rep of the style. Would have another. Also had an Octoberfest which was not too bad, but for me would of liked more malt assertiveness. The barstaff are nice people. I didn't order food but if hungry would not hesitate. I like the vibe and think this place will do alright. Recommended. Only wish this place also had a spot up in the mountains next to the trail. Now that would be nice.
