Appearance: Very crisp and clear. Lots of bubbly carbonation. A large white head formed that left at least a lace throughout.

Smell: A strange hop aroma came around with a little malt background.

Taste: A very sweet beer. There was some hop background. Fairly balanced though sweet.

Mouthfeel: This was good. Fairly light but it did have some body.

A pretty drinkable brew.

The Euro Pale Lager style often fails to impress, but this one does it spectacularly. Well, it's not that bad I suppose... weird-coloured green bottle, paler than usual, is probably responsible for the skunky hops. Appearance isn't impressive either - minimal head retention, a fair amount of carbonation in the form of large, coarse bubbles, gold colour. Smell is skunky hops with a small amount of adjunct to round out the flavour. Taste is not great - I would probably be better off drinking a cheap Aussie domestic lager. Mouthfeel's not worth commenting on, and drinkability? Only if desperate.

I wasn't expecting much, but this beer didn't even meet that standard. A 2.0 all-round average is better than it deserves but I'm feeling generous and forgiving.

Brok's slightly hazy golden body is topped by a magnificent head of bright white froth that holds exceptionally well and leaves nice rings of lace at the outset of the glass. Its clean, perfumey and sweetish aroma combines lightly grainy (there's obviously adjunct as well) malt with a swirl of floral and lightly herbal hops. It's crisp on the palate with a slightly elevated carbonation. The flavor is exactly as the nose suggests with a lightly sweetish malt that's woven throughout with floral hop flavor, and backed by a solid bitterness. It's not complex, but it does have some depth in that it's components can be tasted seperately rather than as one integrated whole. It finishes with some residual sweet malt that fades to reveal its drying bitterness and then some lingering hops. This is a surprisingly well done beer considering the output of some of their competition.

Pours vibrant gold with a large fading head.
Aroma is uber-grassy and skunked, but shows some sweet bready malt underneath.
Flavours include the same bready malt before a boring bitterness follows through. And of course, it's impossible to ignore those grassy hops.
Carbonation should really be a lot higher.

1 pint .9 oz bottle. Aroma is mildly sweet malt and even milder floral hops. Body is a dingy yelloy/gold and holds a massive two finger thick, fluffy white head that is mostly lasting. Fore is watery and mildly sweet with no hop flavor and zero bitterness. Most of the flavor is concentrated toward the middle ranges and is mostly sweet malts. It is pretty lacking finish wise where it just trails off with a mild lingering sweetness. Not something I’d recommend.

Appearance: Clear, golden with a slight chill haze. Nice creamy head that fades fast.
Smell: Slight much malt
Taste: Very sweet....more malt than hops...not a very well bittered beer
Mouthfeel: Very light but with not much carbonation
Drinkability: Only if desperate....lucky I only bought the one

There are a lot better Polish beers to be had

The beer discharges from the bottle a limpid gold color with a mastodonic sized frothy head that is brilliant white in color, the lace a thin sheet to conceal the glass. Nose is citrus crisp, malt sweet and quite fresh; start is sweet and nicely malted with the top light to middling in its feel. Finish is brisk in its carbonation, the hops average for the style, drinkable as lagers go.

Brown 500ml bottle, best before 30 April 2008, drank on that day. Just another Polish Lager?

I poured it into a stemmed Corsendonk Tulip glass (twice). A large white head sat on top of a mid golden coloured body, clean, clear and bright.

I normally give lagers a 3 for smell, as I rarely find any aroma This one however had a farmyard, earthy smell, with some hops too, so it gets a higher score.

Better flavour than most imported Eastern European lagers I've ventured to try. This one has a taste! Malty overtones and a trace of hops make this quiet pleasant.

Not bad at all, the 6% alcohol (according to my bottle anyway) obviously helps of course, never-the-less, a good beer and maybe the highest score from me for a lager so far on BA.

I was offered this beer by a member of my girlfriend's family while visiting Warsaw. Janusz grabbed a bottle out of the wood pantry and poured me a full pint of room temperature lager...yum. "This is my favorite of all beer" he proclaimed. It poured a pale yellow color with a huge and bubbbly white head that quickly dissipated to a thin lace. Very carbonated (although I think the fact it was room temp made it more so). Taste was...not so bad really. Nice display of mild hop bitterness, some minor skunkiness but not enough to make it unpleasant. Nice crisp aftertaste. Mild overall, but nothing offensive. I didn't find this beer to be as bad as many on here have. Maybe since it was fresher from the source? Who knows, either way this is a pretty standard/good Euro Lager.

This pours a dark golden colour with a finger of fluffy white head which quickly dissipates.

Fairly boring sweet grainy aromas dominate. There's a hint of something else. Maybe caramel?

A very short palate. Not much going on at all. Just a bit of sweetness.

A very bland offering allround.

Paid only $0.99 for a 500mL bottle from Jungle Jim's...

This beer pours golden clear with a huge head almost overflowing my 23 oz. pilsner glass, thus the head of the beer is large, with average retention and a few traces of lacing. The aroma is euro lager for sure, smells like a fragrent Warsteiner, so it's alright by me.

The taste is pretty refreshing for the style, overall it's still above average and tastes like a fruity or kicked up PBR. During the delivery it proves it's cheaper Euro lager with the half-skunky finish in the throat. The drinkability is good for me at a 6.2% and resembling a fruitier Warsteiner in overall taste, it's actually good.

Final Thought: It's a shame that the Jungle has these deals and I know nothing of the beer before hand, and actually like it over most cheap beer I drink (PBR, Honey Brown). It's definately worth a try if you're into European lagers.

16.9 oz green bottle. No freshness dating.

The beer poured a nice bight gold with a large but quickly collapsing white head. Clumps of foam on top off the beer.

The aroma was of sulfur and cooked veggies. Just a faint aroma of malts and hops.

The taste was at least slightly better than the smell. While the sulfur was still present, it was about in equal parts to the slightly sweet grainy taste and there was just a bit of flowery hops in the background.

The mouthfeel was thin, but slightly boosted by the excellent carbonation. Drinkabity is not good at all. I’m not sure how old this beer was, but it did not seem to travel well from its native land.

Yet another skunky, Heineken-like euro lager in a green bottle. How many of these damn things exist and how do they all taste the same? This beer has a golden color with a somewhat foamy medium head. Very thin lacing. Aroma of malt, light hops and metal. Light-bodied and bubbly, with bland hops flavor, along with an equal amount of bland malt. The finish is midly bitter. This one is a bit smoother, has a high alchohol content and is damn cheap. Nothing at all special.

It pours a fairly clear gold though a slight cloud or haze when heald up to light.A nice head forms but fades fast. A slight fizz could be heard as it goes. Carbonation seemed alittle down with little activity inside the glass. A flat look. The aroma was grassy & leaf like. The taste was citric, lemon, grass, metal & malt. The mouthfeel was a soft, foamy feel. Drinkability is what it is, has that euro-lager taste. One nice thing, the 6.2% ABV was a nice touch.

Malt and sweetness predominate this beer.
It is mid golden and cloudy
The smell is all Eoropean malt with a faint cough medicine tone to it.
Feels sweet and even in the mouth .
A bit too much of the sweet malt in this for my liking .
Might be good to start with this as a heart starter on a golfing weekend.
Label 6/10

A - Dark golden colour poured with a couple of centimetres of white head that falls away rather quickly.
S - Some slight floral & herbal hop notes on top of grainy sweet malt.
T - Very much like the smell.
M - Fairly smooth mouthfeel, medium carbonation.
D - Not all that interesting but still a decent enough lager to drink on a warm summers evening.

I find the name of this beer funny for some reason. It’s like a caveman name. This 99 cent beer is a golden color with a somewhat foamy medium head. Very thin lacing. Aroma of malt, light hops and metal. Light-bodied and bubbly, with bland hops flavor, along with an equal amount of bland malt. The finish is midly bitter but does not have legs. Solidly below average all around.
