Nice copper color, on the darker side for a Märzen - but not the darkest. Lively and transparent. Good head production, and excellent retention. Body color implies some nice toasty malts; head is a very light beige.

Nose is bright, clean, and balanced. Caramel, toast, raisin, orange, grass. Fresh.

Lively punch up front, but it quickly settles and is a little slick and smooth. Drinks about 1-2% heavier than the 6.1% ABV, with a body more akin to a Doppelbock.

A little sweet, but absolutely wonderful and balanced. Caramel, honey, orange, dark bread, a touch of pepper, lightly toasted white bread. A bit of cola on the finish. Fairly low bitterness, with the malt taking center stage.

This is a delightful Oktoberfest!

Many thanks to jvgoor3786 for this can!

A - Hazy dark orange amber color with thin lacing and no carbonation.

S - Sweet toasted caramel and biscuity on the nose with some light nutty earthiness.

T - Toasty caramel malt with some caramel sweetness, a little earthy, slightly nutty, some light citrus. Nice balanced finish.

M - Medium body and a little wet on the finish up front before completely finishing out with some dryness.

O - This is a solid American version of the style.

A: Pours a clear dark reddish color. A two finger beige head forms with good retention. I would like some more lace for the style though.
S: Kind of a nondescript caramel malt sweetness. This is a fairly neutral nose, that I don't get a lot from. I always love simple styles, but out side of some sweetness I don't get much.
T: Like the nose, mostly just caramel malts that leaves a lingering sweetness. Not overbearing, but more than I like for the style. Some others might really enjoy this, though I don't find a lot of nuance that the better examples of the style have.
M/O: A light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Easy enough to drink, and I can come back to this again though not among my favorites of the style.

An OK sweet Americanized version of an Oktoberfest. Not bad at all, but I prefer more authentic versions of the style, and think Lost Forty does better to begin with.

Pours a slightly hazy semi clear brown with a wispy white head and no lacing. Slightly toasted nutty smell. Light bodied, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Tasty caramel and toasted malt flavor. Moderate hops. Semi dry finish. Very balanced sweet caramel toasty nutty brew. Very good seasonal from Lost Forty.

Arkansas's best Oktoberfest, Cloudy dirty gold, taste and smell true to Oktoberfest style, medium carbonation, higher alcohol than most of this style.
