Poured from a bottle dated March 3, 2017. There's a pretty thick layer of yeast on the bottom of the bottle. The beer pours a hazy yellow color with tons of giant white head that disappated with almost no lacing.
The smell is tons of white wine, farmhouse funk, and some citrus.
The taste is bright, sour, and very funky. This seems closer to a mild sour than a saison, but it's still got some of that funk. There is a white wine taste and some grass or hay.
The mouthfeel is dry, thin, and effervescent.
Overall a nice beer. It's very different but I really enjoyed it. Enough of the saison comes through, the sour adds to it and the barrel doesn't overwhelm.
