12oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing on the glass. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, guava and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Raul isn’t really a Haze bro, but right now he is saying, “Hey ho!” Like the captain of a ship, Raul is not feeling sea sick. That’s because Rooster Illusion works like fusion. Yes, honey, this beer is money.

12oz can courtesy of Russpowell. Stamp on the bottom of the can seems to say that it's best if consumed before July 12, 2023.
Not much of a looker. Poured a murky, orange Amber color, with a very thin off-white head. A decent amount of foam can be created by twirling the glass, but it immediately shoots downward, back to the liquid, when such motion stops happening, and there is virtually no lace left behind.
Tropical fruit-like hoppy nose.
Tropical fruit-like hop flavor as well, with an added, candyish sweetness that is fortunately not too overbearing. A little dry on the back end but there's virtually no bitterness at all.
Medium bodied, slightly resiny mouthfeel.
This doesn't seem like a hazy IPA at all. It's sort of like what, in my region, I call juicy ipas, which are PNW attempts at NE hazy's that don't quite come off like an authentic hazy, especially in the mouth feel dept, but this is considerably sweeter than that. It's not a bad thing to drink, but it's baffling. This level of sweetness makes me think I would not want more than one, but that's probably a good thing when you consider it's 9% abv, which is not at all noticeable when you drink it, by the way. I'm glad to have tried it, and would try it again in case this is gotten a little bit old to be a good showcase for what was intended, but I don't think it's something that would enter the regular rotation if this is how it's supposed to taste. My thanks to Russ for the opportunity to try it.

Pours a pretty hazed gold with one finger of cream colored head. Nice head retention & lacing
S: Some citrus & tropical fruit, not much nose
T: Nectarine, strawberry, mangoes & a little orange up front, some dryness up front. Guava, mangoes & strawberries as this beer warms up, some pineapple too. Finishes with Nectarine, Guava, sweet orange & a little dryness
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, great balance
Great flavor, but the nose was MIA. Great drinkability none the less. I certainly like the flavor better than the Alpha version of this
