Pours a murky goldenrod, minimal head and lacing. Smells like a pineapple and tropical fruit salad that’s been in the sun too long. Taste follows with mango and grapefruit. Light and lively, a great summer beer.

12oz can received courtesy of Russpowell. I believe it's the last IPA he sent me for the most recent NBS BIF. The date stamp on the bottom of the can is hard to make out, but seems to indicate that this is considered best consumed by sometime next month.

Poured into a can glass, it was initially not much to look at. Murky amber in color, with an extremely weak quarter inch of off-white foam perched on top. However, by agitating the glass I was able to make the head look halfway decent, at least for a minute or so. Spotty lace.

Big tropical fruit nose to this. The hops used create a scent similar to pineapple and mango.

The flavor matches the aroma. Definitely a fruity murkster. Fairly sweet up front, with a very slight citric bitterness on the back end that is just enough to provide contrast without clashing.

Medium bodied. Soft and slightly creamy mouth feel.

I was initially disappointed in how this looked when it poured, and figured it did not bode well for the rest of the drinking experience. Happily, I was wrong this is a very enjoyable beer to drink on a 98° day spent mostly doing cleaning. Thanks, russ!

Pours a hazed orange with one finger of eggshell colored head. Above average head retention & lacing

S: Tons of citrus, fades a little down the stretch

T: Sweet & tart citrus, some dryness & a little green melon up front. I get some lime as this beer warms up, along with orange sweet tart, plus dryness. Finishes a little with more sweet than tart Tangerine

MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation, nice balance

If this was a good as the initial nose, this would be up there; still very crushable
