a new blonde from these guys and a darn good one i think, one of their better simple beers for sure. it could definitiely use a little more rye malt in it for the rye fans out there, less spice more bready nuance, it has a flavor and a textural impact, especially in an otherwise light blonde ale, but it could stand to be more to really be considered a rye beer first. not perfectly clear but close to it in the glass, and a more golden shade of blonde than i am used to in the style, but just a shade. great carbonation, a medium body, and a lot of life and refreshment capacity. the flavor is crackery on the malt, pils and pale malts appear to be there, still in front of the rye, but the pale rye malt adds a lot even if it could be more. its green and young, almost too fresh in a sense, but the balance is there from a mild hopping, and the end result is a just interesting enough summer beer to keep me drinking them all afternoon. great in the heat of summer, i think they have done an excellent job overall with this one, and i plan to drink quite a bit more of it this summer.
