a tasty but rather pedestrian belgian wit. its incredibly light, one of the lightest in its class really. pale watery yellow color without a lot of head, but not at all hurting for carbonation either. light wheat in the nose, simple, elegant, streamlined. the yeast is what stands out. it has banana and bubblegum thing going on, definitely fermented on the warm side, with some other more generic fruitiness in there as well. mild spice to it as well, but its clean for what it is. the body feels a little watery to me, it could use more of the wheat texture, and ends up not really having the right feel for the style, but i appreciate its mass sessionability, and its more delicate aspects. this might be one of the least ambitious beers being served over here right now, just a clean easy drinker as spring weather starts to roll in, and sometimes thats okay. with a huge imperial stout on nitro, some heavier belgian styles, and a host of big hoppy beers on the menu, its nice to have something you can drink a pint of in three sips... good not great.
