Our interpretation of the classic Belgian golden strong ale. A simple ingredient base of pilsner malt, noble hops and Belgian candi sugar create a stage for this authentic yeast strain to produce bold and complex aromas reminiscent of apples, lemons, pear and black pepper in the finish.

one of the least impressive beers ive had from these guys. its oddly simplistic for what it is, and despite some minor criticisms (boring bland grain bill, sharper booze than necessary, less carbonated than belgian styles should be for the most part...), it is really only one thing that turns me off from this one, which is the yeast. this thing must have been over pitched and fermented super super hot. its all esters, way hot belgian intensity, to a fault. banana and bubblegum and pear and crystalline sugar and taffy, its just too much. it totally takes over the rest of what is happening here, and lingers forever. seems exposed and flawed, and a short pour was all i could take. definitely messed the palate up for the night. nothing subtle about it. it either needs some raw wheat in here or some oats to make the base match the yeast, or the darn fermentation temperature needs to be dropped significantly. its a vibrant strain, i get that, and you wanted to make a strong belgian, but this is over the top.
