i dug this one last night, its one of simpler and cleaner beers they do in here. its odd, for the most part even their lighter stuff feels heavy, maybe something to do with water chemistry or mash temperature, i dont know, but even the ones designed for pounding fill me up. this has a little of that, but is so dry and bright that it doesnt slow me down much at all, unlike the others. a little haze here and a lot of bubbles and accumulating foam on the straw colored pint. immediately i would like to know more about the hops, they are mild and grassy and almost saaz-esque in the nose, but have a lighter citra type fruitiness in the taste, but are gone in the finish before hops usually disappear, its almost minimalist, but i like it a lot. maybe some oats or wheat or something too, there is a cereal density here that must go beyond pale barley malt. i like the soft creaminess it has and the relative lack of biting finish, its mellow beer, and maybe their most sessionable offering i have had. i still dont think its perfect, i dont love their house ale yeast, but its unique to some extent, and i enjoyed my pint.
