a new lime gose from these guys, and its quite good. not at all over flavored. some of these get so perfumey when they start with the additives, but the lime stays natural and zesty and anything but sweet and chemical based. its nicely wheaty, both fuller bodied and stronger in alcohol than most gose types, and i think that favors the lime addition, it has more beer elements to balance it, and the body just keeps it mellow and almost creamy. they were smart to keep the lacto souring rather minimal. its super clean and quite professionally done, but the acidity is light, allowing the lime acidity to work in tandem with it, not overpower it. its best when its real cold though, the first few sips are really impressive, but it falls off a little bit when it comes up to temperature. the lime gets overly aromatic and the carbonation seems to dissipate. that said, its a well done beer, surprisingly so, and one that i can drink by the pint, not so harsh on the belly and the teeth. nice to see these guys continuing to mature as a brewery and take on styles like this so well. this will rip for them this summer i would think!
