Lunacy Brewing Co. "Brewtus Juice"
on tap at the brewery
Notes: NE style IPA but amped up to 8.0% ABV. White-yellowish "milkshake" cloudy beneath a bright white head of froth that holds well and leases some nice lacing behind. Bold, resinous and tropical aroma. The flavor is more fruity than resinous, and not that bitter. I find notes of mango and orange. It's sweet with malt but its solid bitterness appears in the finish. Medium-light in body and smooth with a very fine-bubbled median carbonation. Impressive! One of the best NE-style IPAs I've had to date. This one gives some of the better known breweries producing the style a run for their money. In fact I liked it better than anything I found at the closest brewery that's well known for it. Worth seeking out for fans of the style, and worth trying for others if they've still got it on tap.
