12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 8/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy very dark brown color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, mint, nuttiness, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of vanilla, cream, coffee, smoke, dark fruit, herbal, grass, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, mint, cocoa, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, mint, nuttiness, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of vanilla, cream, coffee, smoke, dark fruit, herbal, grass, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/grassy hop and roasted bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, mint, nuttiness, toasted dark/brown bread, light coffee/smoke, herbal, grass, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, mint, cocoa, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Minimal dryness from hop/roast bitterness. Touch of cooling mint character lingers after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly silky/sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.9%. Overall this is a delicious flavored English/Brown porter. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, mint, cocoa, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, with the mildly bitter and very creamy finish. Nicely rich for the ABV with a great mix of malt complexity, and nice pleasing mint/cocoa balance without being overdone. A very enjoyable offering.

12 ounce can, unfortunately the date info is printed on the bottom side of the can and smudged so I can't read it. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a really long time. There's also a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like cocoa, burnt/charred malt, mint and a bit of cream. The taste is just like the aroma, with a nice balance between all the flavors with none of them overpowering the others. The mint is light, it meshes well with the other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's easy to drink and has a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought it was a good porter, I'll have to try and get another can or a 4-pack the next time I see it (just bought a single of this before).

Best by 8/20/17. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a fluffy dark khaki head that falls leaving great retention and solid lacing. The aromas are mild and malt forward. The cocoa powder is noticeable. The mint aromas are basically nonexistent. The mint comes alive in the flavor department, but barely. Cocoa powder is there along with some milk chocolate. It's on the sweeter side, but it's definitely not cloying or anything like that. Some fresh milk in the mix. Strong malt backbone. Alcohol goes completely unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's very fluffy and smooth.
This is an okay porter, but the mint basically goes unnoticed. I will say that the mint becomes noticeable as it warms though.

12 oz can, best by 8/17. Pours amber brown with a medium creamy light tan head that retains well and leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is sweet milky cocoa malts with a little slightly ashy roast.
The flavor is sweet rich chocolate malt and lactose with a bitter roast finish. I don't get any mint. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a decent chocolate porter.
