All the buzzwords in this guy. If we are going to make a pale ale, you better believe we are going to drop a metric fuck ton of hops in it, and do it our own way. This beer has no hops in the boil, just in the whirlpool and in the dry hop. This huge late addition of hops gives this guy tons of tropical fruit hop flavors while keeping the bitterness low, so this is kinda a juice bomb. Low alcohol and light body on this brew means you can drink a bunch of them if you wanted to, and we bet you will after trying this tasty liquid.

Pale straw coloring, smells malty and hoppy, although it's difficult to pick out a particular hop in the scent. The head is small with a decent lacing. The taste is all hop, stone fruit, citrus, a little piney, a little tropical. The mouth feel is thin and rounded, quite crisp. The bitterness is light and hangs well without lingering unwanted. Overall definitely worth the purchase, and workable for someone who might not like IPA but enjoys hoppiness nonetheless.

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is a fantastic American pale ale! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Never aggressive. Very vibrant, dank, and juicy hops; balanced bready malts, with no residual sweetness. Loved the hop profile. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass. Murky, yellow-orange. I get a lot of grapefruit on the back end and bitterness typical of the style. Admittedly, the Perpetual Cold of Autumn 2017 (TM) has done a number on my senses of smell and taste, so I'm sure I'm missing some subtle or perhaps not so subtle notes. Still, another solid beer from the best brewer in Dayton.
