Imperial Gose - Ale brewed with pink Himalayan sea salt and coriander.

Goses are perfect for summer, quenching, tart, and drinkable. There is just one problem, its really hard to drink brews that light and get the desired drunken results. Well friends, worry no longer! This big imperial version of the gose will tick all those boxes! Slightly tart, a little salty, really drinkable, and just a hint of sweetness, this beer will give you a big kiss and trip you while you're not looking. Get out on the river, hike a bit, enjoy the weather and throw back some of these beasts, cause even if you don't remember it you won't regret it. And don't forget to drink promiscuously!

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but was just released. Pours slightly hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt notes; with good strength. Taste of tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tartness and yeast/coriander spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance; and zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tart/spiciness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic/sticky, fairly crisp, and lightly saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an excellent gose. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/spicy/drying finish. Not overly lactic or salty. Perfectly balanced between Lacto, coriander, salt, and pale/wheat malts. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example for an imperial version.
