Citra hopped IPA with coconuts and pineapple
Do you like making love at midnight? Well whether you do or not this may be the beer for you. Hoppy and tropical with a ton of real coconut (seriously don't be surprised if you see some floating in the beer) and pineapples this is a fruity slightly bitter delight! Grab some mini umbrellas, get caught in the rain, and pound down like 20 of this suckers to help yourself enjoy the rest of summer. Cheers friends and drink promiscuously!

Poured very carefully, leaving a lot in the can, results in a clear gold with lots of floaters and a finger of off-white head. Thin sheets of lacing.
Pineapple, a woody character, light citrus, vanilla and coconut in the nose.
Intense coconut in the taste, with some light pineapple, apple and wood and a very dry finish.
There’s a little formaldehyde, too, when it sits on the tongue, lingering into the aftertaste.
Light to medium bodied with strong fizziness to the feel.
For fans of coconut, this is probably worth a spin. There seems to be truth in advertising to it. Not to my personal preference. No canned on date.

Pours golden and clear, except the particulate floating. Nose is a bit odd as is the taste. Honesty could not finish this one. This is one I’m glad they won’t make again.

12oz can poured into a can glass
A: Yellow with a thin head that disappears quickly, and no shortage of floating coconut
S: Pineapple, coconut, citrus, wheat
T: Same notes as the nose, I get the inspiration for this beer it’s just not coherent
M: Medium-bodied, a touch sweet, occasional flake texture from the coconut
O: Unique & creative but doesn’t translate well into a beer, I’d stick with the cocktail

No date on can as far as I can tell, but got it 10/20/18 and consuming 10/27/18.
Look: Not overly appetizing... kind of chunky sediment laden pour that just floats around in an otherwise golden liquid with a dirty white head of mostly small carbonation bubbles. Kind of acts like a lava lamp when poured. Honestly, this could use a pass through of a filter. *Edit* I did not read the review before mine to get the lava lamp visual *
Smell: I smelled it when pouring. Pineapple. Coconut. Sweet. Daiquiri. Maybe a bit of hoppiness.
Taste: Like pear, orange, cococnut, fruit cocktail, sweetness from lots of sugars and probably whatever is floating around in there. I definitely get the pina colada flavor out of it. It's balanced out by some pretty floral, green, hoppy notes.
Feel: Light-medium mouthfeel, not overly carbonated, just a bit to let you know you are drinking a beer. Flavor hits the tongue then goes down smooth. There's a bit of oiliness that lingers more than the rest of the flavors, but comparably, it's short lived.
Overall: If the pour wasn't so gross looking, it'd actually be an interesting beer. Unfortunatlely, there's about an inch of fluffy stuff in the bottom of my glass... I've heard of sediment, but man...

I love NIP. They're probably my favorite Dayton brewery.
This...is not good.
This smells like a pickle IPA, which may or may not be an actual thing but let's all hope it isn't.
It also tastes like a pickle IPA. I threw up in my mouth a little bit just typing that.
And then I poured the rest of the can in the glass. Good god almighty. Remember that Orbitz drink from the 90s that was like drinking a lava lamp? When this settles, there's going to be something like an inch or more of sediment at the bottom of the glass. I'm drinking this in the dark, so maybe I missed a warning about all the chunder floating around?
I'm sure somebody loves this beer, and I'm certainly not going to stop seeking out new NIP brews. This one's getting tossed.

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but was just released. Pours fairly hazy/chunky medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy pineapples, coconut, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread dough, light honey/biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, pineapple, coconut, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy pineapples, coconut, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread dough, light honey/biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness; and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy pineapples, coconut, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, cracker, white bread dough, light honey/biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, pineapple, coconut, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an awesome fruited DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, pineapple, coconut, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV with the modestly bitter/resinous/tart/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Great Citra profile as expected. Awesomely juicy/vibrant hops/fruit, with some dank/earthy notes; great balanced pale malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering. Not overdone on any aspect, extremely well balanced.

12 fl. oz. can
Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass
This beer pours a pretty clear golden color aside from the floating particles. It is topped with an inch of off white head that leaves spotty lacing.
I smelled the coconut right away. It took warming up a little to open up the pineapple.
The is a vivid coconut taste right off the bat. There is slight bitterness through the middle. Subtle pineapple is noticeable through a lingering coconut finish.
Medium bodies and velvety smooth mouthfeel
It is pretty solid, and I am not even a coconut fan. I was hoping for more pineapple, but I would drink it again and will.

4 pack purchased at Hills Market on the new arrivals end cap, Poured into a goblet beer glass. Can has no date code. Pours like a slug chunky thick slurry. I thought there might be actual pineapple fruit blended in it. Probably some yeasty crud also???? Maybe coconut was blended in. I've never seen so much crud in a beer. It tastes like rotten coconut and pineapple juice. I'm shocked to see this from what is otherwise a fantastic brewer, Will probably pour it out and see if there was a distrubution issue or recall on it. I know the difference between a hazy NEIPA and a can of unfiltered sludge, This is not supposed to be the former. Something is amiss here.

Big pineapple on aroma with coconut and piña colada
Tons of coconut in taste. Light wood and sweet pineapple juice. Light bitterness
IPA base doesn't really show but this hits exactly what it was going for
