The affinity that sour ale has with mango is one of the best in all the world of culinary arts. Tangy, succulent and highly refreshing, Nowhere In Particular Brewing can't resist the temptation to give the these two love birds a spin.

Batch #034, or Mango Lime Gose pours with a pale pastel golden color that hinges on peach. Floating the beer lies a stubby white cap that pops excitedly to reveal a rich citronella bouquet. Citrus, orchard fruit, tropical fruit and a faint whiff of the sea drifts across the nose ahead of the soft malty sweetness of saltwater taffy, sourdough and mild agave.

As the fruit flavors unfold on the middle palate, the full mango and lime characters take over. Mango leads the way with a close backup of orange, papaya and pineapple. Soon after, the lime steps up with its counterparts of cider, white wine, lemon and yuzu. Trending sharply but cleanly sour, a gentle earthiness of burlap offers a soft earthy note while the sea salt adds an off-salty roundness to the late palate.

Light in body but remaining creamy and drying, the tartness of fruit and fermentation cleanses the palate with ease, ushering in a high degree of refreshment, drinkability, a quick aftertaste and sheer enjoyment. The ale never looses its identifiable mango or lime flavor as its sure to be a great choice for sangria and bellini lovers as well as those of beer.

12 oucne can into tulip glass, canned in 6/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden amber color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy mangoes, lime, lemon, orange, fruit skin, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, coriander, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, mango, lime, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy mangoes, lime, lemon, orange, fruit skin, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, coriander, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light coriander spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy mangoes, lime, lemon, orange, fruit skin, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, coriander, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, mango, lime, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy, and lightly sticky/saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is an awesome fruited gose. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, mango, lime, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/drying finish; not overly lactic/salty. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome balanced super juicy/vibrant fruit and Lacto complexity; with a great balanced pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity for the ABV. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and outstanding spot on style example as expected.

Appearance - Pours hazy yellowish orange with a thin white head that quickly dissipates to nothing. No lacing.

Aroma - Huge lime aroma, orange, salt, and mango.

Taste - Drinks almost like a mixed drink. Lots of lime, orange the coriander should probably be left out it adds an earthiness that detracts. Nice salty finish.

Feel - Light bodied up front little slick and sticky on the finish light dryness.

Overall - Hit the mark with this one, nice flavors not a fan of the coriander.

T: Matches the nose adding a bit of salt & coriander
M: Light-bodied, crisp
O: While perhaps not an original blend, it’s refreshing, crisp/clean and well made
