16 ounce can, canned on 11/19/2021. Purchased at Heart State Brewing 2-3 weeks ago. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head. There's a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like nuts, chocolate, vanilla, cream and roasted malt. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some caramel, toffee, and bready malt flavors. It's a mostly sweet tasting brew but not overpoweringly so. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and a bit rich with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a tasty sweeter stout, worth picking up if you're into nutty and/or pastry stouts. I liked it!

Canned on 11/19/21. 16oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours a dark brown, almost black; murky and hazy; small light khaki head that fades leaving okay retention and lacing.
The aromas have some hints of peanut butter and roasted pecans leading the way. Some chocolate along with some hints of vanilla. Malts are there.
The flavors follow the nose. More peanut butter and pecans. Lots of chocolate, especially milk chocolate and chocolate syrup. The cacao nibs come through. Some toffee and caramel. Also some banana. Some raw honey in the mix. More vanilla emulating the marshmallow. Some lactose. Low bitterness. There's a solid sweetness to this one, but it's not cloyingly sweet or over the top. Strong malt backbone. Mild warmth in the finish, but the alcohol is ultimately well hidden.
Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with moderate to low carbonation. It's fluffy, creamy, velvety, sticky and smooth.
This is a pretty nice stout. It's definitely not boring or "middle of the road". It has a nice "pastry stout" vibe going on. It's rich and flavorful. Well done. I like it.
