Visited on a snowy Monday about 7pm. Sat at the bar. 15 people waiting for tables when I arrived.
V - Bright, rustic, relatively small table area. Lots of families. Bar seating about a third of table seating.
Qual. - Had three different IPAs. Different styles. All very good.
Sel - A good selection with hoppy, non-hoppy, darker styles, sours, cider, sangria and mojito on tap. 4.5
Ser - Sat at the bar. Tender busy. Friendly but not pushy.

Huge cool place a bit south of downtown. Expansive taproom with can sales directly opposite the entrance and a large L-shaped bar perpendicular to the entrance with additional table seating about the rest of the room. There is also a large counter pass-through behind the bar into the courtyard patio. Lot of room, lots of parking. 20 plus beers on tap, I had the pillow gossip which was excellent. Efficient service. I look forward to coming back here when I'm not driving.

what an absolutely fabulous brewery and facility, i loved everything about my experience here, and would recommend this place as one of the best in the area in my opinion. their spot is dope, a pretty big property with a ton of outside space for seating along the building, yard games in a big fenced in lawn area, and even some rail seating outside on the back side of the bar, lots of parking on the side. there is a big bar inside that runs the length of the place, some to go beers up front, more dining room seating in the back, its a great layout, very welcoming, fully family friendly, and well staffed on a busy sunday evening. i grabbed a bar seat, and while it took them a minute to get to my, my service was bang on from that point forward. i had two beers, a wonderful coffee imperial stout that they were out of on tap, so the server fetched me a can unsolicited so i could try it, really cool move. i also had a delicious foudre beer called in bloom that was both delicate and funky, nicely refined. their selection was solid, but a heavy on the hoppy stuff and not overly diverse beyond a couple of outliers, i believe it rotates quite frequently though. i had a pizza in here which was very good, and all of the other food coming out looked solid too, better than average for a taproom for sure, very hand made. i loved the energy here, everyone was stoked and it was tangible, the beers were excellent, and on a nicer day it would be glorious to spend an afternoon outside here, its an awesome property and design. the service by committee was cool, other folks in here were nice too, and overall it was a great visit. i plan to return as often as i am in the area, these guys are a force, a regional favorite of mine for sure! not to be missed.

Back in March, 2019, Common Roots was almost destoyed by fire. They survived the fire and thanks to a very loyal community they have come back with a bang. From what was a small almost cramped taproom is now an open floorplan bar and restaurant. There is a large outdoor dog friendly patio and they often host special events. It is also easy to find. They are located next door to the South Glens Falls, which locals will tell you is a seperate and distinct entity, Police Station.

Haven't written a review (beer or place) thus far after many years on BA. However, I feel that this brewery deserves a singular commendation worthy of a few words. Stopped in just after open this past Saturday. Girlfriend and I had the place to ourselves and were cheerfully poured flights upon choosing our barstools. Stout/IPA/Sour/Pils --> all knocked it right out of the park. The bar starting filling up as we finished our flights and I moved on to the Schwarzbier and she the Lacto IPA. Bartenders and local clientele chatted with us about the NY brew scene, restaurants in the area, and plain old current events. We felt very welcome. In my estimation Common Roots compares favorably to any brewery here in Chittenden County VT (very high praise!). We walked away with cans, glassware, a bottle of Plan Bee collabo, and a jolly nice warmth in the belly. Well worth a visit, even if it's a bit out of the way!

Not much going on in SGF but this is definitely worth checking this out (I live 2 miles away). They make awesome beer, the owners are really nice people, and it has been a huge improvement to the local "scene". Also have a pizza truck most days which is tasty. They can (16oz) and bottle different beers, growler fills of course. There is a Wednesday bike ride that is quite popular and you get a free beer after the ride! Definitely innovating and pushing beer forward in our area, some of their sours and IPAs are spectacular and I am not just saying that because we're "neighbors" :)

Original brewery, small taproom with a horse shoe bar for 12-15 people and 6 or 7 small round tables with barstools. Good size tap list with 15-20 selections of various styles and all excellent. Friendly staff, good service, no food but can BYO.

Common Roots has a classic, rustic, Adirondack feel. A great selection of beers are on tap and the people are great. The only complaint is it can get a little crowded in there from time to time. Still, one of my favorites.

Located on the outskirts of Glenns falls, which is kind of like being 2 miles past the middle of nowhere. Mabe thats a little harsh, but it is a bit surprising to see a competent, self aware brewery spring up here.
They have a fairly small, just slightly sterile taproom, which like everything else about this place is much better than almost everything else in the region. The bartenders very much seemed like they were the owners, though I didn't strike up a conversation to confirm. Service was decent but they could stand to hire some more typical and professional beer servers.
The selection was decent, maybe 8 or so house brews on tap. Everything was competent and a couple were solidly good. That being said they are making by far the best beer in the local area and with the exception of Druthers in Saratoga the best I've had from this part of the state.
Really a bright spot locally, and they have potential to standout even above that standard. This is a nice little brewery that stands out in an area with otherwise dismal local beer and it is a must if you are in the area.

Nice little taproom adjacent to the brewery. Plenty of tables and space around the bar. Service is always great, whether it's Carl, Burt, Christian or whoever pouring the beer. The beers range from okay to really great, but there are always a few great options on tap. Definitely recommended.
