Two years in the making, this carefully nurtured old English favourite is a surprisingly bright winter warmer. Refermentation by wild yeast (Brettanomyces lambicus) imparts a hint of cherry, while the two years spent in barrels (three-quarters of which were bourbon, the remaining from local wineries) adds smoothness and depth to the surprisingly delicate spiciness of the rye malt. Best shared at cellar temperature at fireside, the warmth that comes from within will be indistinguishable from that of your surroundings.

Category 12 Brewing 'Convergence' @ 10.3' served from a 750 ml bottle , barrel conditioned brett stock ale
A-pour is a brown from the bottle to a amber in the glass with a small beige head leaving a streaky lace along the snifter
S-slight barrel aging , brett
T-smooth , big bottle of fun
MF-so warming , mild carbonation , full bodied
Ov-it's not a barleywine or a old ale , a interesting take on a winter warmer
