This märzenbier is lagered six weeks for a clean finish. Notes of biscuit are rounded out by slightly fruity & spicy hop additions bred in homage to traditional German noble hops for a little North American spin on this venerable style.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a beautiful dark orange with off-white head. The nose is loaded with malts. Bread, toffee, figs, a bit of maple. Lovely.
The taste is incredible. Tons of flavor. Big toffee, candy malts, brown sugar, and a nice light bitterness at the end. A nice earthy note. A slight peppery spice as well. Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Overall, this is a fantastic lager.

Category 12 Brewing 'Marzen Lager' @ 5.3% , served from a 473 ml can
A-pour is a light amber from the can to a clear amber in the glass with a medium size beige head
S-toast/biscuit/bready , hints of caramel malt
T-clean & crisp dark lager
MF-ok carbonation , medium body
Ov-cold lager , not a style I revisit
